Recently I've been actively participating in the WoW roleplay forums and in-game to direct roleplayers to this site for more information about the roleplay and community, such as guilds. However, I noticed that some of the guilds we have listed have either been disbanded or have been put on hold by their leaders. Do you think we could sort out which ones these are so that new RPers can have an easier time of searching for a guild? What do people think?

Any update on this? The newbies I've talked to have still had confusion about which guilds shown on the forums are still accepting and so on. Also, I think that if a guild already has forums, that we shouldn't put up a forum here just to redirect them to the other; the guild recruitment forum would be good for that. What do you think?

Oreet, how do you want to handle guilds that have thier own forums?

Links else where? A guild forum here that is mostly a link to thier own forums?

WER is thinking of doing some light recruiting and I want to raise our presence here somewhat. Though the guild itself is not heavy into RP, there are some members that are and most are friendly to RP.

if you have forums elsewhere, best bet would probably be a posting in the guild recruitment forum.

Perhaps a good idea would be to suggest that active guilds re-post in the guild recruitment section. Say, once a month or something. That way someone looking looking for one only has a couple pages to wade through.

It would be nice if there wasn't a bump-fest, there, and also it would make things still more difficult to wade through. Some of the guilds that have forums never even started, like the Dark Knights of Death and such, and others haven't been active for a year or more.
