((Something our Guild kind of structures its time around, and allows for diverse and interesting events, discusions and runs.))

This guild was founded on the base of 3 companies; Spear (PvE, Raid Progression), Shield (Guild aid and support), and Sword (PvP and Town Defence). I believe these companies had the right idea though I feel the mentality to submit yourself to one group might not be the right way to go about it. I believe that by reconstructing the companies and allowing a proper transition between them will allow for and over all balanced experience for those in the guild. At the same time it's hard to want to commit to all three and it shouldn't have to be that way. I propose a guild calendar. One that outlines the Army's goals for a season, allow for certain concentration on one of the companies and making sure everyone in the Army gets to experience every aspect the guild has to offer.

The way I see it, every season should consist of perhaps a month; 3 companies to switch between giving them each 4 months out of the year. In theory one for each season perhaps adding a bit change as the year goes by (for RP reasons I am thinking but that can be up for discussion)

Adventurer's Call

Season of the Adventurer– The purpose of this season is to concentrate on Progression with in dungeons, will allow for those willing to venture inside the most dangerous of places to get a glimpse of the horrors in this world and gain the knowledge and power to defeat them. This can include a number of things; Current raids, Old school raids and Heroics. The main ideal for this is to allow those who want progression to be given a chance to see what PvE content is all about. Of course with this in place there must be a tier system set up, a level of commitment and willingness to learn the standards of ‘raiding’ (this includes both raid and class mechanics). We cannot have our freshest recruits merely thrown into the Lion’s Den with all but a stick to defend themselves. Yes, amongst the higher ranks there is a way for us to aid them in that respect but I feel that in doing so they become to dependant on that method. We want to create soldiers with in the army capable own bringing their own strengths to the field, and thus will feel a bigger satisfaction when they accomplish something.

How Roleplaying becomes involved: Because this is mainly focused on PvE content members of the guild can set up runs within their level and gear tier, they are able to create backgrounds to their characters as well as goals to why they venture into such dungeons. Even if RPing within the dungeon is not key, it would be a possible solution for one to write up a follow-up report on what went on, a recap on the events that lead to the dungeon and possibly even the aftermath (obvious amazing example of this being Biranda’s event, I wish we could accomplish more events along those lines, got more involed along the way). This might be a good way increase more guild runs coupled with the chance at more in-guild RP.

Minor roles for Adventurer’s company: There will be no rule saying that out of PvE season that people cannot continue to pursue their own methods to PvE involvement. Thus I propose a Mercenary tactic to this need, as it would appear many guilds are in need of quality pugs to fill out their raids, it is how alliances between guild are built as well as allow those that wish to concentrate their efforts outside of guild runs on learning and honing in on strategies and raid improvement. I know it is a risk method to employ with in the guild, it might cost us some decent players but then again who are we to smother their desires for this game. With the common knowledge and logic player posses one would often find themselves in a better position of raid leadership after meeting their goals with in a mercenary environment, it is a practice I for one have been working with for a while. We need to allow our troops the pressure free environment for them to gain their own understanding and hopefully it will be enough of a comfortable situation for them to return with the information they have collected to share with the guild they care about. Just an idea... once again up for debate.

Battlemaster's Call

Season of the Battlemaster – This will be the Army’s time to train on their PvP skills, running the Battle grounds and even setting up arena tournaments to help the troops in sharpening their skills. Tournaments can be held within the guild (as a PvP training event consisting of a series of duels, level tiers maybe even prizes, Attican had set one up and it was quite the success) as well as Arena groups set up in the guild ranks to get a taste of 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5 PvP action. Weekends would revolve around the battleground featured for premades, and a level set should be put in place so to group up those willing to PvP with in a level range. This will further develop the guild’s group dynamics and allow for greater symmetry that may in turn expand beyond the PvP environment (ei: for raiding/RP exercises and of course visa versa). This will be none the less a very different way of experiencing the game but soldiers should gain confidence in this knowledge and balance out the guild’s expertise level across both PvP and PvE grounds.

How Roleplaying becomes involved: Horde Town defence being a defining aspect of this guild, reports on recent attacks, suspect guilds, and training exercises make for a great way to expand RP with in a ‘PvP’ environment. Even scripted events depicting a certain experience the player had with in a battleground or arena tournament is acceptable as their actions in such an event help towards character development for that reaction to this experience. Being able to give members of the guild flexibility in RP material might help those to expand their character’s potential over all and should be a stable point to get across to the troops in that respect.

Minor roles for Battlemaster Company: This guild will always be a Horde Town defence guild and that should always remain a priority amongst the troops, to allow the safety of our cities and towns is something the Army is known for. During all three of the season’s guild members will need to be aware of any calls that sound for aid (worlddefence channel), and this aspect should be expressed as an important piece to our guild’s foundation and should always be an honourable practice amongst the troops. As the campaigns are set up at the moment, the constant shifting of new members and new leadership, the Army should simply try and be as available as possible regardless of any sort of guild organization... there will be calls that will remain unanswered, but with luck we might stir others to join in based off our efforts. One thing we as the officers of this guild need to come to terms with is the fact that despite our efforts to enforce this, in the end it is up to the player. We should not force or guilt trip those that sometimes do not feel up to defending as that will only create a hostile environment conflicting with personal reasons to playing this game. Members will have to understand it is a massive part of our guild (even now, it is a tradition I feel we must never let go, since it was how we got started and it will help us over all find our place in this world again). I have confidence that people will begin to answer the calls as more experience in PvP (from the Battlemaster season) progresses, they will gain a better understanding of facing players that need to be taught a lesson, and the satisfaction that follows when you run them out with their tails between their legs!

Guardian's Call

Season of the Guardian – This point in time will be the guild’s moment of relaxation, more for leisure purposes since the guild goals should never be completely involved in serious matters. Too much stressful content to be exposed to sometimes leaves people drained, we want to keep the Army’s atmosphere balanced and never overwhelming. This season will then concentrate on setting up guild socials/parties, ceremonies to introduce new members who maybe have not been able to really open up during the other seasons. Promotion ceremonies can be scheduled at this time as a sort of end of the seasonal wrap review of the soldiers and their performance. Another thing to add would be setting up more events that allow people to utilize the guild’s resources, whether it is with in skill sets members have learned that wish to either up their professions, or even openly offer their services to those in need. We may allow this season to be cut in half and spilt in between our PvE and PvP (ei: 30 days of PvE, 15 of relax, 30 days of PvP, 15 of relax in that pattern) but once again this is just an idea and I would prefer it to be discussed.

How Roleplaying becomes involved: This is an easy one, with socials being set up will allow for a good setting as an RP environment, members are free to post a fore thought on what they might be experiencing before the events, or even post any funny details for those who have missed these get-togethers. The point of this is to encourage those are not quite completely comfortable with RP to get involved, and give them the opportunity to test out their curiosity of this way to play the game. This needs to be a time of understanding, in that not all beginners of RP will be consistent or necessarily open to RP ideals. We need to be as supportive as possible for those who consider themselves veterans of RP to offer advice and maybe personal interaction to get them comfortable before throwing them in over their heads in a full social gathering (bigger events down the road, or possibly public RP).

Minor roles for Guardian company: A system, like our HTD code that has been with the guild since the beginning was the Patronage system. This is something I believe should be brought back to the guild, though maybe under a new order and method. I do not think we should condense this to just a one on one guidance, a new member in the guild should be able to have the freedom and comfortable nature to approach any one of the officers, for advice or aid (whether it is PvP, PvE or RP). The officers in this guild receive their ranks for good reason, they are experienced and knowledgeable in many aspects of the Army and that should be put to good use. With that being said I wish to recommend that all receiving a Lt. Rank or higher in the guild should vouch themselves to a patronage role, they do not necessarily have to know everything but a group of officers communicating together should be able to solve any problems the soldiers have as a collective force. Not only that but it will ensure that the officers themselves will get to know one another, each other’s strengths in the game’s setting and will help to build a stable bond amongst all who enter that ranking. This is something the officers must maintain though, throughout the seasons and it is a great responsibility but I believe there is purpose to the choosing of our officers and that they are fully up to the task.
